Dobil Laboratories' Owner and President, Don Rosenberger holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Carnegie Institute of Technology. In 1977 Don passed the State of Pennsylvania Engineering Test in Electrical Engineering, Seal 28680-E. Don has attended numerous continuing education courses on data, data distribution, acoustics, sound propagation, and life safety and is currently studying for certification as a Registered Communications Data Designer (RCDD) through BICSI.
Audio Visual Sales Engineer David Rosenberger joined Dobil in 2002. Before coming to Dobil David attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania for Management Information Systems. He is a level 1 Crestron Programmer and has his Crestron DMC-D Certification. He has learned the company operations, procedures and installation requirements by starting out as a technician, progressed to project manager. Knowledge obtained permitted the sales position, now held. David uses his technical background to aid in sales engineering and in designing superior systems.
Designer/Consultant Ralph Rossi, CTS has been with Dobil since the fall of 1993. With over 23 years of experience in audiovisual and data technology, Ralph is a Certified Technology Specialist™. This certification is sponsored by the ICIA, the audiovisual industry’s leading trade association. He also has managed and supervised numerous large venue audiovisual and live performance events. His recent design projects have included Sony’s Employee Development Center and Carnegie Mellon University’s Posner Hall and Baker Hall Expansion and Verizon Wireless.
Duane Oblinger
Operations Manager Duane Oblinger has been with the company since 1974. In addition to scheduling crews, Duane has been actively involved in the installation of Dobil systems. Some of Duane's projects have included more than 37 entertainment, meeting room and ballroom systems installed in Marriott, Hilton and Sheraton Hotels across the country. He also supervised installation of major audiovisual systems at Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, Goodyear, FORE Systems and Alcoa.
Senior Programmer Tom McLaughlin has been involved in communications and studio engineering since 1989. A part of Dobil since 1996, Tom has been a Crestron Certified™ Programmer for many years. Recently Tom achieved “Gold Certification," the highest level of certification attainable and has been achieved by only a handful of other dealers in the country. He is also an A.C.E. Certified AMX programmer. Tom's leadership has enabled the company's systems to progress to a new level of user-friendliness.
Gary Nagle is a Control Systems Programmer. He holds an associate's degree in Electronics Technology and is a Gold Level Certified Crestron Master Programmer as well an A.C.E. Certified AMX Programmer. Additional professional certifications include the C.T.S. certificate from Infocomm, Crestron Digital Media DMC-D, DMC-T, and DMC-E, as well as certifications from Tandberg, Biamp, and Extron. Gary has an extensive background in computer graphics and CAD, as well as comprehensive experience in stagecraft, having served as Technical Director for an 1800-seat performing arts center. Gary has worked for Dobil Laboratories since 1999.
“Joe B” joined Dobil in 1996 as Lead Project Manager, whose duties included ordering, scheduling and managing the education installation crews.
In 2004, Joe took on sales responsibilities concentrating on the K-12 School market
Joe brings 40 years experience in system integration, fire alarm, CATV, campus wide paging, mass notification and Professional sound reproduction.
Corporate Sales Director John Williams joined Dobil in 1989. Before coming to Dobil, John was Senior Audio Producer at Gateway Studios in Pittsburgh and before that was Senior Audio Writer/Producer at Fisher Scientific. With over 20 years of audiovisual sales and design experience, John’s creative problem solving approach has played a key role in Dobil's emergence as a leading regional supplier of presentation and systems control technology.
Bob Boise, Security and Fire Sales Consultant, joined Dobil late in 2000 bringing over 30 years in systems sales and project management experience. His experience ranges from Health Care to Security/Life Safety Systems most involving coordination between Owners, Security Executives, IT Personnel, Manufacturers, Architects, Engineers, Electrical Contractors along with writing specifications and producing point to point CAD wiring diagrams.
Bob's security knowledge has become an invaluable asset to Dobil. Bob is a member of ASIS, NFPA and since coming onboard with Dobil our customer base in security has greatly expanded to include Governmental, both Federal and Local, Water Authorities, Fire Departments, School Districts. Many are in the process of completing or have completed a multi-location access control/security plan with implementation designed around yearly budgetary constraints and funding.
Justin has been with Dobil Laboratories for over 10 years. He has an extensive Hotel AV Background including four years as an AV Director in the Pittsburgh Region, three years as a Regional Operations Manager, and three and a half years as a National Accounts Manager. Over those past three years he established Dobil as the preferred vendor for Interstate Hotels and Resorts, the largest U.S.-based global hotel management company. By introducing Event Production and Design as a standard at all IHR hotels, he has changed the way hotels view the "AV" industry. This has led to extensive revenue increases in previously untapped markets both corporate, and particularly social.
